The Dashboard is a central place for Admins to review the status of their business. It acts as a summary of the different pages in Silo, and a way to see anything that needs attention.
When you've completed all your tasks and everything is up to date, your dashboard will be empty. Nice job! Otherwise, items will show in the following order:
Stock Crisis Items
These are products where you are out of stock, or you will be out of stock before any new items arrive from orders. You need to act on these items as soon as possible to avoid too much disruption to your business. The dashboard will show how many items are in Stock Crisis status. You can easily add all of them to a Draft Order by clicking Request All, or click through to see them in detail by clicking the number of products.
Re-Order Now Items
These are products that need to be re-ordered now to avoid disruption. You can see how many items are in this status, add all of them to a Draft Order by clicking Request All, or click through to see them in detail by clicking the number of products.
These are Orders waiting to be placed. It's important to place Draft Orders promptly, as they will contain items that need to be re-ordered in time to keep stock at the right level. Click "Review All" to see all Draft Orders, and place them.
If a Stocktake is due, you will see a reminder here. Silo determines the right frequency and scope of stocktakes to effectively monitor your stock, while making sure you do not spend too long stocktaking. If a stocktake is suggested here, it is important to take care of it in time, so that your data is up-to-date. Admins do not need to do stocktakes themselves — use the Notify User function to remind a member of your team to do it.
These are orders where items are on order and due to arrive soon. Silo keeps track of tracking information (when available) so the system can remind you when an Item is overdue or due soon. This is a convenient place to check that no items has been physically received recently without having been marked as received in Silo.
New Item Requests
These are new products that your team would like to add to your Inventory. To review the requests, click "Review All". You will be able to see the request, and choose to accept or deny the request.
